Witchcraft Weekly #002 -- Spells and such
June 01, 2012

And another week has passed, and I hope something magickal has happened for you in the past 7 days. Welcome to another episode of Witchcraft Weekly.

What's New This Week
Sorry to say that there is nothing particularly new on the site this week because I have been busy with other work and haven't had 4 seconds of free time in the past 7 days. Yes, exactly 4 seconds precisely.

So I shall just highlight some other material on the site that you may not have discovered yet.

Setting Up an Altar is a handy article for anyone who doesn't have a particular place for doing their spells yet. Even if you do have an altar space already, you might get some creative ideas on what you can use on it. There is also a link from the article to an additional page if you are not out of the broom closet yet and need to hide an altar.

Weekly Spell
Last week I said this would be an exclusive spell that isn't on the site. Well, if you didn't get the message from the last section, I've been profoundly busy. Next week is looking better, so there should be some new material soon. Even so, here is one that you might not have seen yet:

Peaceful Dreams Spell

This water spell can help promote a more restful sleep and pleasant dreams. An ideal course of action if you're under stress and can't get to sleep. Your supplies are:

• 1 tsp coarse sea salt
• 1/2 oz rosemary leaves
• 1 oz rose petals
• 1 oz valerian
• 3 pieces of moonstone
• Glass bowl

Before bed, fill the bowl with water then add the salt and herbs (either fresh or dried is fine). Stir it gently with your fingers, and say the following:

Bring me quiet
Bring me peace
Ease my dreams
Nightmares cease
Drop the moonstone crystals into the bowl, and place it near by bed. Go to sleep and let the bowl absorb any negative dreams.

Coming Up
Don't forget that the full moon is coming up on June 4th (that's Monday). Plan any spells for fertility, romance, creativity or financial abundance. The moon's power lasts for about 2 days before and after the true date, so you should have time to make the most of it.

News Around the Web
Now I don't want to just focus on our site. There are always other things going on in the world that you should know about. Here are this week's articles and news stories you should check out:
